Postpartum depression can affect any mother. There are powerful emotions at play that can trigger this condition. Sometimes it is simply a short-term case of “baby blues” but in some women, it can be far more severe and last much longer.
It is important to know that postpartum depression is not your fault; it is not weakness or a flaw in your character. It is simply a condition that can occur.

You may be experiencing postpartum depression.
The Northwest Clinical Research Center has the opportunity to evaluate potential a new medication treatment for postpartum depression. However, research cannot be conducted without volunteers.
Northwest Clinical Research Center wants to let you know that you are not alone.
Your first visit to Northwest Clinical Research Center will consist of a free mental health evaluation. You do not need to be diagnosed with postpartum depression.
All of the assessments done throughout the study are at no cost and study medication is also provided at no cost. This study can also provide additional support such as breast pumps, formula, lactation consultant etc. at no cost.

We are looking for patients who are:
- Between 18 and 45 inclusive
- Are under 12 months postpartum
- If taking anti-depressants, must be at least 30 days on the same dose prior to evaluation appointment
NO COST STUDY
There is no cost to participate in the study, and the study participant who is eligible will receive the following:
- Medical evaluation.
- Investigational Medication.
- Study Related Medical Care.
- Compensation up to $675.
- Complimentary transportation or a travel stipend.
