Clinical Trial for Bipolar Depression Disorder
Northwest Clinical Research Center is currently enrolling participants for clinical trials for individuals diagnosed with bipolar disorder, types 1 or 2 and are currently depressed or recently recovered from a depressive or manic/hypomanic episode in the last 3 months. These studies are designed to explore new therapy treatment options to better manage symptoms of bipolar depression and improve overall mental health stability and outcomes.
Bipolar disorder, encompassing both type 1 and type 2, is a complex mood disorder marked by significant fluctuations in mood, energy, and activity levels. These mood episodes—can disrupt a person’s ability to function effectively in everyday life, impacting work, relationships, and overall well-being. Type 1 is often associated with more severe manic episodes, whereas type 2 features less intense hypomanic episodes coupled with profound depressive episodes. Proper management of these mood episodes is essential to reducing the personal and social burden of the disorder and improving long-term mental health outcomes.
