Prerequisites

Potential participants must be:

Between age 10-17.
Be willing to come to the clinic for visits accompanied by parents or legal guardian.
Currently depressed.

Duration

Approximately 2 months to 6 months.

No Cost Study

There is no cost to participate in the study. A participant who qualifies for the study will receive the following:

Medical evaluation.
Investigational Medication.
Study Related Medical Care.
Compensation available.
Complimentary transportation or a travel stipend.

Study Evaluation Process

Screening: Determine eligibility and safety through medical examinations, questionnaires, and interviews.

Informed Consent: Received detailed information about the trial, including risks and benefits.

Treatment: Receive investigational medication and placebo, and follow the trail protocol regarding current treatments and medications.

Monitoring: Close monitoring of conditions and side effects through check-ups, laboratory tests, EKG’s and assessments.

Does enrolling with a study require a blood draw?
